How much does it typically cost to replace central air cooling and heating in a condo?

Just trying to get a very rough ballpark number for what it typically costs to have new central air (heating and cooling) installed in a say 1400 – 1500 sq. ft condo?

Electric Heat Pump vs. dedicated central air conditioner and natural gas furnace.
I live in Virginia am trying to figure ballpark cost to replace both original central heat and air (was electric heat pump).

3 ton unit using existing duct work, probably around $3,500 – $4,000 some areas less. Where do you live? These prices would be North Florida. NY City would probably cost a lot more.
